Attack on Titan is an anime series adapted from the manga of the same name. It was created by Hajime Isayama and began as a webcomic before being published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine beginning in 2009. The series has spawned a spin-off light novel series, several video games, two compilation movies, and an upcoming live-action film adaptation. In 2015, Attack on Titan became one of Japan’s most popular manga and anime properties various critics attribute this success to its thrilling plotlines, well-developed characters, and themes addressing social issues like human nature.
4 seasons were made so far (with rumors for the new season), OVAs (side stories) which contain one or two episodes were released and a movie was also made. This anime has huge fandom and fan culture, making it the best action and popular anime in Japan.
2. Adventure Time with Finn & Jake
Adventure Time is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of a boy named Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (John DiMaggio)—a dog with the magical power to change shape—in the surreal Land of Ooo, encountering enemies like the Ice King (Tom Kenny), Princess Bubblegum (Hynden Walch) and Marceline the Vampire Queen (Olivia Olson).
3. One-Punch Man
One Punch Man is an ongoing, online, webcomic created by an author using the pseudonym ONE. It was first uploaded on Shueisha’s official website in 2012. The story focuses on Saitama (played by Makoto Furukawa), a hero who trained so hard that he achieved enlightenment and can thus defeat his enemies with one punch. Giving up his past desire for fame, he now lives as a regular working man. He soon finds out the world is filled with many other powerful heroes.
4. One Piece
In its Funimation dub, one Piece, also known as One Piece – Heart of Gold, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 22, 1997; the individual chapters are being published in tankobon volumes by Shueisha, with the first being released on December 24, 1997, and the 74th volume released as of November 2017. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old boy who gains elastic abilities after inadvertently eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the ocean in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as One Piece to succeed Gol D. Roger, the deceased King of the Pirates, in order to become the next Pirate King.
5. My Hero Academia
It is currently airing anime series, which adapts Kōhei Horikoshi’s manga of the same name. The first season aired from April 3 until June 26, 2016, and was met with critical acclaim. A second season has been confirmed and began airing on April 1, 2017.
