Recently, Nvidia has released a new patch update for Doom Eternal. Nvidia finally figured out the issues in Doom Eternal and thus released the 471.11 patch update to fix it. Players were going through crashing issues in the game. They were annoyed while playing on PCs with GeForce hardware. Henceforth Nvidia launched the Game Ready GPU driver (update 471.11) to fix this major crashing issue.
However, Nvidia already mentioned about the new update before it’s release. “Over 70 RTX games have been released or updated with support with these and other Nvidia technologies, and today Doom Eternal gets its own RTX enhancement”, said Nvidia.
About the new Nvidia patch
Apart from the crashing problem, the hotfix driver brings fixes for some other problems. Sometimes the League of Legends fail to launch, this issue is now fixed. Other major problem that could be fixed are the mouse cursor colour malfunction when using certain DSC monitors in HDR mode, HDMI playback issue of becoming distorted and the screen resolution of some players gets locked at 640×480.
It is not mandatory to install the latest Game Ready driver if you are not facing any of the above mentioned issues. However the update does not introduce any performance or new features benefits. So even if you don’t install it, you won’t lose anything amazing. More, Nvidia also revealed that turning on DLSS in Doom Eternal will improve the performance by upto 60% at 4K and the GPUs will work above 6fps.
